Recently, an IQM team traveled to Joanna S. Rose’s home on Long Island, New York to supervise the packing and shipping of the majority of the 653 red and white quilts featured in the exhibition “Infinite Variety,” organized by the American Folk Art Museum and held at New York City's Park Avenue Armory, March 25-30, 2011. The IQM was honored to become the caretakers of this important group of quilts, donated in whole by Joanna Rose.

It is with sadness that we share that Joanna Semel Rose, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, collector, patron of the arts, and philanthropist, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2021, at her home in Manhattan.
