Continuum, Quilt + Fiber Call for Entry

Wednesday, September 30, 2026

Introducing a combined call for entry for both quilt and fiber makers . . . traditional to abstract. This call will showcase quilt-inspired processes like layering, stitching, and piecing, as well as a full spectrum of media. This call for entry will be open from July 1 through Sept. 30.

From traditional bed quilts to three-dimensional mixed-media works, CONTINUUM will celebrate the infinite ways artists and makers use fiber and fiber-adjacent materials to tell stories and create visionary art. This exhibition will not be a single aesthetic, region, or lineage, but the entire spectrum of quilt making. From heritage techniques to experimental materials, from functional to conceptual, from hand-sewn to digitally engineered, we want to see it all.

Exhibition:

All selected works will appear in a virtual exhibition hosted by Studio Art Quilt Associates and will be eligible for an on-site exhibition in 2028 at the International Quilt Museum in Lincoln, Nebraska! We invite you to enter this one-of-a-kind call event by visiting fiberartnow.net/calls.

Tips for Preparing Your Entry:

To present your work to its best advantage, keep these photography guidelines in mind:

● Submit only full images , no detail or alternate views. Detail or alternative views will not be considered. Use a clean, neutral background and show only the artwork. Do not hold your work with hands showing or have your feet showing. Be sure to shoot your artwork straight on. Poor photography may negatively impact juror scores.
