Día de los Muertos at the International Quilt Museum
Enjoy free access to the International Quilt Museum, musical performances and crafts as we celebrate Día de los Muertos!
On Nov. 1, join us for our mulit-site celebration of Día de los Muertos. The event will take place across two locations: the Nebraska History Museum from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the IQM from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Guests who visit both locations can be entered into a drawing to win prizes!
Some of the IQM's featured activites include:
- Musical performances from Lincoln High School's mariachi band as well as Flamenco guitarist Daniel Martinez
-The presentation of a quilt created by Mexican artists that will be added to the IQM collection
-A presentation about Mexican textiles and Día de los Muertos
-Snacks, a photo booth, a community ofrenda, and so much more.
