Events

Friends of the International Quilt Museum frequently holds fundraising and educational events to support the museum's mission.

In 2023, a major event was Art Market which included 24 artists selling wonderful hand made items and the Friends table which gathered donations to sell to over 600 people who visited the market and the exhibitions. The Friends raised $15,336 at the Art Market to benefit the museum.

Looking ahead, Art Market 2024 will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 11a.m. – 6 p.m, and Saturday November 16, 2024, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m at the International Quilt Museum. More information will be published once Artists have been confirmed for this event. Mark your calendars now for a fun event and viewing of all exhibitions.

Art Market 2023 Success

The 9th Annual Art Market held in November 2023 was a great success. We enjoyed:

· Almost 600 people who visited and purchased during the two-day event, along with those who visited the Museum Store and the exhibitions at the IQM.

· The 24 artists who brought wonderful illustrations of their skills in wooden engraved bowls, blown glass, quilts, metal work, wool, paintings, wood carvings, quilts, pottery, textiles and much more.

· Gross sales were approximately $28,000 which was an 11.6% increase over 2022. Thank you for visiting us!

Give to Lincoln Day

May 1 - 30, 2024

Give to Lincoln Day is a giving day event that encourages everyone to contribute to Lincoln and Lancaster County nonprofit organizations through a single online giving platform between May 1 and May 30. Give to Lincoln Day is coordinated by Lincoln Community Foundation, in partnership with local nonprofit organizations.

Every donation makes a bigger impact because nonprofits also receive a proportional share of a $650,000 match fund provided by Lincoln Community Foundation and their generous sponsors, including Presenting Sponsor West Gate Bank — the largest match fund in Give to Lincoln Day’s history!

We thank our many donors for giving almost $8,700 to the IQM during the 2023 Give to Lincoln Day. We look forward to your new or renewed support to the IQM.

Since the first Give to Lincoln Day in 2012, the event has raised $50 million for local nonprofits. The purpose of Give to Lincoln Day is to promote philanthropy in Lincoln and Lancaster County. There are three primary goals:

· Introduce new donors to our nonprofit organizations.

· Help Lincoln nonprofit organizations tell their stories and educate Lincoln about the positive impact they have on our lives.

· Shine a community spotlight on this day of charitable giving to raise a substantial amount of new money to assist the local nonprofit network.

Online donations to participating charities are accepted from May 1 to May 30, 2024. For more information, go to givetolincoln.com or watch this space for more information on how you can donate to the International Quilt Museum.
