My Doll and I Create a Face Quilt

My Doll and I Create a Face Quilt

Saturday, September 24, 2022

Calling all children!   You will be the artist and create a portrait quilt of yourself or your favorite doll!  We will learn how many cultures create story quilts using simple stitches and fabric applique by viewing quilts in the gallery from India, China, Bolivia, Canada, Ghana and Zimbabwe.  We’ll be inspired by the very colorful Face Portrait Quilts made by Freddy Moran.  An assortment of fabrics, yarn, buttons and other embellishments will be used to create our own unique portrait quilt.  Snacks will be provided.

The children are encouraged to bring their favorite doll.

To register, visit this link or call the museum at 402-472-6549.
