My Doll and I Flip for the Fab '50s Workshop

My Doll and I Flip for the Fab '50s Workshop

Saturday, February 1, 2020

Children are invited to join Instructor Sheila Greeen as we explore 1950s quilts from the Claire Vlasin Collection and the Mary Campbell Ghormley Doll Exhibit. The featured doll will be Maryellen, a 9 year old from the 1950s. We'll learn about life in America in the '50s and the fun fads: rock and roll, 45 records, the soda fountain, hula hoops, Mad Libs and more. Attendees will complete a poodle skirt for their doll by creating and stitching on the poodle. The workshop lasts two hours and sessions are available in the morning and afternoon.
