Textile Talks: World War I Quilts: The Sue Reich Collection

Wednesday, January 24, 2024
Quilt scholar and collector Sue Reich is set to join Ardis B. James Curator of Collections Carolyn Ducey on Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. EST for an online discussion of the exhibition "World War I Quilts: The Sue Reich Collection."

Learn how quiltmakers during the World War I responded to the conflict with patriotic messages, personal stories and philanthropic efforts. Over the years, Reich garnered substantial collections of quilts and textiles from the eras of World War I and World War II. These collections came to live at the IQM in 2022. The exhibition is now showing at the IQM through April 13.

Textile Talks are always FREE! These online panel discussions and presentations are held every Wednesday at 2 p.m. EST on Zoom. Textile Talks are brought to you by Studio Art Quilt Associates, Quilt Alliance, Surface Design Association, and the International Quilt Museum.
