"My Doll and I Discover India" Workshop

"My Doll and I Discover India" Workshop

Saturday, July 13, 2019

With instructor Sheila Green, we will explore the exhibition Collecting and Recollecting: Contemporary Quilts in Western India. We’ll learn about India culture, quilts and foods. The American Girl Doll Neela Sen from India will be featured (“Girls of Many Lands"). We will learn block printing and rubbing techniques as we decorate prayer flags or an envelope bag. The children will discover Asian culture through dressing our dolls in a sari, Bollywood style dance, temporary "Henna" tattoos and bindi, and snack (make hummus heads-by spreading hummus on a cracker, making a face with fresh vegetables).

The following session is available for registration:

Cost: $20 ($16 for Museum Members)

CANCELLATION POLICY: If a class is canceled due to low enrollment, IQM will refund the class fee. No cancellations, refunds or credits available for this workshop.
