Sunflower Mini-Quilt Challenge: A Fundraiser for Ukraine

Do you want to use your quiltmaking skills to help the people of Ukraine?

The International Quilt Museum and its partners, Lincoln Rotary Club #14 and Friends of the IQM, invite you to make an entry for our Sunflower Mini-Quilt Challenge. Each mini-quilt will be sold at auction to raise money for the Rotary Disaster Response Fund, which directly supports efforts in Ukraine to provide disaster relief, including immediate shelter, supplies and personnel. Rotary International works closely with ShelterBox and other non-profit organizations to support short- and long-term disaster relief around the world.

Sunflowers have long been a popular motif for quiltmakers, often symbolizing peace, happiness and optimism. As the national flower of Ukraine, sunflowers have recently also come to symbolize solidarity with Ukrainian resistance during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
