Studio Art Quilt Associates presents "Conversations with the Artists: Upcycle!", this week's Textile Talk on Wednesday, January 27 at 2 p.m. Eastern via Zoom.

Repurposing used materials is one of the most effective solutions there is to deal with today's environmentally devastating waste issues. Fiber art also has a rich tradition of incorporating elements that would otherwise be discarded by turning them into compelling compositions.

Join selected artists from SAQA Global Exhibition Upcycle! in a discussion about their work, process, inspiration, and use of non-traditional materials. We'll hear from Laura Wasilowski, Linda Syverson-Guild, Beth and Trevor Reid, and Carol Larson.

Click here to register for this webinar. A recording of the program will be available on YouTube at a later date.

Textile Talks features weekly presentations and panel discussions from the International Quilt Museum, Modern Quilt Guild, Quilt Alliance, San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles, Studio Art Quilt Associates and Surface Design Association. The programs are held online at 2 p.m. Eastern (11 a.m. Pacific) on Wednesdays.
