The International Quilt Museum presents “One Hundred Good Wishes Quilts: Expressions of Cross-Cultural Communication” for Textile Talks on October 21 at 2 p.m. Eastern via Zoom.

In this Textile Talk, Marin Hanson, curator of international collections at the International Quilt Museum discusses the early 21st-century phenomenon of “One Hundred Good Wishes Quilts,” quilts made by American families to commemorate their adoption of a Chinese child. Hanson’s doctoral research focused on cross-cultural quiltmaking practices, with particular emphasis on China and the United States and more specifically, quilts made for Chinese adoptees.
